Vishwavidhya Foundation

The Vishwa Vidya Foundation was formed in the 2003 by a group of philanthropists from our community lead by Kerala Vishwakarma Association Mumbai.

Registered under the Maharashtra Societies Act bearing Reg. No.MAH/MUM507/2003/GBBSD and Public Trust Act bearing Reg.No.F25450 (Mumbai) Education a Concurrent Subject under Constitution of India, Keeping this in mind the Mission of the foundation is to Generate awareness among the community through education & social activities

Objectives: Provide value based education, intellectual activities & mould the character of Generation Next thus transforming our society into knowledge and culturally rich society.

History

In 2014 initiative taken by few active members namely Mr. Padmanbhan V. Achari, Mr.V.V. Rajan, Mr.N. Swaminathan and some active members from Kalyan zone was supported to enrolled new members and increased the fund raising drive to restart the VVF activities.

A proposal to start a school came up from Kalyan zonal committee, which was presented by Mr.N.Swaminathan, Mrs.Shankuntala Ramachandran and Mr. O. K. Manikandan.

All members unanimously supported the proposal and a new chapter started - a Kids school at Kalyan. In 2014 keeping its objectives VVF ventured out with first little step, a play school in the name of Vishwa Jyoti Kids School (“VJKS”) at Kalyan (East) under VVF. Inaugurated on 7th April 2014..

The first batch of 5 students entered this temple of learning on 10th June 2014 at regular academic activities began on that day. We had a batch of 14 students by year-end. Other than the routine educational syllabus activities like Independence Day, Republic Day, festival celebrations like Janmashtami, Raksha Bandhan, Dussehra and Diwali are celebrated with kids.

Vishwa Jyoti Kids School upgraded from Playschool to Nursery in the academic year 2015-16. Six play school students and nine nursery students studied during the year 2015-16.

Other Social activities

Distribution of notebooks Swach Bharat Abhiyan at Vasai Beach and VVF School area at Kalyan.

Time to time up gradation of Vishwa Jyoti Kids School.
